Ridge & Root began with a shared frustration: too many landscapes looked installed instead of grown. We wanted to make places that feel settled, useful, and connected to the Blue Ridge.
Our small studio combines landscape architecture, horticulture, construction knowledge, and years of field experience. We design with native and regionally adapted plants, honest materials, and enough restraint for the seasons to do their work.
